from twisters in indiana, a world is learning about a school bus driver keeping kids safe and calm. she saw the tornado while driving her bus with 11 children on board, her quick thinking got them to safety just before the bus got tossed around. michael has a video of the heart pounding race against mother nature. >> reporter: it's 3:15 p.m., march 27ened, storm sirens are whaling , the 36,000-pound school intuse no match for the tornado. debris flying, lightning flashing, watch how the bus moves across the parking lot, slams in to a car, and then is lifted and carried across the road crashing in to a diner. the bus microphone picking up the sound of glass breaking inside the restaurant. on this bus, 13 minutes earlier, 11 children heading home, dismissed early because of the threat of severe weather. the driver reassures them. angel perry , the bus driver, scrambling to find a place to take cover. as the skies darken the chatter increases on the bus and the radio. you can hear perry as she makes her decision to turn the bus around. the bus now a minute and a half from the school. perry
